Annotation

The ongoing publication of new European standards (ENs) calls for UIC leaflets / IRSs (in this case IRS 50546) to be made consistent with ENs (in this case EN 14198 [5], EN 15179 [6], EN 15355 [7] and EN 15611 [8]) that have the same content, in order to eliminate overlaps and discrepancies. 
Permissible discrepancies and additional content vis-a-vis the relevant ENs are mentioned in the present IRS.
It integrates in full or in part the following UIC leaflets:
- UIC Leaflet 546, 6th edition, October 2014
It complements the following standards:
- EN 14198, EN 15179, EN 15355 and EN 15611
The following IRSs constitute a complementary series:
- None
