Anotation

This practice covers a uniform, consensus nomenclature approach for thermoplastic elastomers, but does not involve any attempt to develop an exclusively systematic process for nomenclature and abbreviation designation. Rather, this practice is intended to accommodate and supplement any existing trade names and trademarks. For example, definitions and abbreviations for thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) and dynamic vulcanization (DV) have been included, among others.
