Anotation

This specification covers muriatic acid, also known as technical grade hydrochloric acid. This specification includes requirements for muriatic acid available commercially in 20? Baum? and 22? Baum? concentration grades. Muriatic acid shall conform to the following chemical and physical requirements: total acidity of hydrochloric acid; iron content; and Baume gravity. To determine the requirements, a test shall be performed in accordance to the test method.
