Dieses Dokument legt die Bestimmung von freiem Melamin in beschichteten und unbeschichteten Holzwerkstoffen fest. ANMERKUNG 1 Es ist auch für andere Holzprodukte, andere feste Produkte, z. B. Imprägnate oder Dekorpapiere, sowie flüssige Produkte anwendbar. Die Bestimmung von Melamin erfolgt durch Extraktion in Dimethylsulfoxid (DMSO) und anschließender Hochleistungs-Flüssigkeitschromatographie (HPLC, en: high-performance liquid chromatography) und Ultraviolettdetektion (UV-Detektion). ANMERKUNG 2 Zur Bestimmung von Melamin in Lebensmitteln ist EN 16858 anwendbar. Zur Bestimmung von Melamin in Futtermitteln ist EN 17212 anwendbar. Zur Bestimmung von Melamin in Textilien ist EN ISO 1833-26 anwendbar.
