The International Union of Railways (UIC) develops and distributes International Railway Solutions (IRS) to help railway stakeholders achieve further harmonisation and collaboration.

This IRS deals with the requirements for the expected performance of luggage racks, coat hooks, lockers fitted to passenger vehicles.

It is addressed to Railway Undertakings, Manufacturers and Entities in charge of the maintenance of railway vehicles.

It integrates in full or in part the following UIC leaflets:
