Anotácia

This IRS defines the high-speed railway, outlines the principles of diversity and high capacity associated with it as a comprehensive system, and specifies its technical features in respect of civil engineering and track, rolling stock, energy, communications and control system, operations and service and stations, and how these features compare to conventional railway transport.

 

This IRS also outlines the various phases involved in high-speed railway implementation - the emerging, feasibility, design, construction and operation phases -and introduces the steps involved in each phase, as well as their objectives. Details of each phase are provided in IRS 60671 - IRS 60675.
