This Standard covers the complete dimensional and general data for cotter (split) pins recognized as an American National Standard. The inclusion of dimensional data in this Standard is not intended to imply that all products described are stock production items. Consumers should consult with suppliers concerning the the availability of products. This Standard covers the compelete dimensional and general data for two types, A and B, of metric series headless clevis pins intended for general applications and recognized as an American National Standard. Type A-headless clevis pins are without holes. Type B-headless clevis pins specified herein are with two holes intended for use with cotter pins; however, a means is provided to specify other hole sizes when required for use with other types of pins.
