The International Union of Railways (UIC) develops and distributes International Railway Solutions (IRSs) in order to help railway stakeholders, achieve further harmonisation through collaboration.
This IRS revises the content of UIC Leaflet 720, with updated references to IRSs and European Norms.
It also contains the synthesised results of in-depth analysis from RFI and the University of Naples, Italy.
It provides the main information on current analytical/numerical approaches to solving track buckling problems, through key parameters, pros/cons, and computational modelling.
It integrates in full or in part the following UIC leaflets:
