Anotace

The CQI-8 guideline integrates LPA with management of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) resulting in LPAs having a positive impact on business results. Other highlights include recommendations for expanding ownership beyond the Quality function, suggesting roles of the LPA Planning Team, promoting utilization of LPAs in non-manufacturing areas (e.g., Engineering, Purchasing, Program Management), recommends Roles and Responsibilities for LPA (RASIC chart), povides expanded guidelines for writing effective LPA check sheet questions, and explains the audit process in more detail. Additionally, the CQI-8 promotes measuring effectiveness of LPA, clarifies deployment of LPA via process-specific LPA check sheets, describes how to conduct the audits and recording the findings, and provides specific suggestions to improve an existing LPA system.
